Bottom Cleaning
What you can’t see below the waterline can cost you the most
Professional diver-performed hull cleaning to remove marine growth, inspect antifouling paint, check zinc anodes, and clean running gear. Serving yachts across South Florida.
Marine growth never takes a day off—and neither should your bottom maintenance.
South Florida’s warm waters are a breeding ground for barnacles, algae, and marine organisms that attach to your hull in weeks. Left unchecked, growth increases drag, reduces fuel efficiency, and can damage antifouling paint down to bare gelcoat.
Fuel Savings
Even light fouling can increase fuel consumption by 10-20%. A clean bottom pays for itself.
Restored Performance
Remove drag-causing growth and restore your yacht’s top speed and handling characteristics.
Paint Protection
Regular cleaning extends antifouling paint life by preventing hard growth from penetrating the coating.
Early Problem Detection
Our divers inspect for blisters, osmosis, damage, and through-hull fitting condition every visit.
Running Gear Care
Props, shafts, rudders, and trim tabs cleaned and inspected for wear or damage.
Resale Value
A well-maintained bottom signals a well-maintained yacht to buyers and surveyors.
Recommended every 30-45 days in South Florida waters
Warm water temperatures accelerate marine growth year-round

Pricing depends on:
How often should I have my bottom cleaned?
In South Florida, every 30-45 days is recommended. Warmer months may require more frequent cleaning. Boats in high-current areas or near inlets may need cleaning every 3-4 weeks.
Will cleaning damage my antifouling paint?
Our divers use the correct pad type for your specific paint. Soft pads for ablative paints, stiffer pads for hard paints. Regular cleaning actually extends paint life by preventing hard growth from bonding to the surface.
Do I need to be present for the cleaning?
No. We coordinate with your marina and can access your slip without you being there. You’ll receive a photo report and condition summary after every visit.
What about zinc anodes?
We inspect zincs on every dive and report their condition. When they’re depleted beyond 50%, we’ll recommend replacement. We can install new zincs during a scheduled cleaning for an additional charge.
Can you clean my bottom before a survey or sale?
Absolutely. Our pre-survey clean includes a thorough hull scrub plus a detailed condition report that surveyors appreciate. A clean bottom makes a strong impression on potential buyers.
